Sapatito – Peru

Sapatito S-America Peru Joke and rhymes game No props N.o.p.: 4 +
The text the girls are saying here in ‘Sapatito’ is mostly used as a starting game to choose which player will be ‘it’. But here it has become a little game in itself. The children stand in a circle with the forefinger of one hand up and one child has to try to catch the fingers after saying a text. The other children may pull away their fingers, but the catcher mostly is fast and takes every round one finger. When your finger is caught, you are out and must wait till next round.

Pong Pong Bolong – Indonesia

Pong pong polong Asia Indonesia Joke and rhymes No props N.o.p.: 4
A group of children sit in a circle on the ground. They put their hands –one by one on top of eachother by making a fist with the thumb up. Every next hand will take the thumb and is put on top of the hand before. This is done until all hands are a small ‘tower’. The last child keeps one hand free and she rotates her forefinger on the tophand of the tower, while saying the text ’Pong Pong Bolong’. Every time at the end of this text, the lowest hand of the ‘tower’ will be put flat. This continues until all hands of the ‘tower’ are flat on the ground in front of them. Then another girl says a different text, while touching all the hands in a circle on the ground. At the end of each text the last hand will be lifted and put crosswise on the shoulder. This continues until all girls have their hands lifted and crossed on their shoulders. That’s the game!
